Why is Self-Care important?

Hello beautiful people!,♡♡♡

I've decided to make a post about Self-Care as we often neglect ourselves due to Social Media! I know you hear alot of people ( Mainly PSCD Teachers) go on and on about Self-Care but it is very important! I hope you find this post helpful and enjoy. ♡♡♡



Self-Care -

Self-care is the act where one takes care of themselves, meaning we keep in touch with ourselves and fulfill our needs. There are many ways we can practice Self-Care at home during this difficult time everyone is facing, it's very important that one does so because it can give a boost of confidence and encourage self-love and self- growth. Self-Care can fulfill our P.I.E.S needs which are:

  • Physical

  • Intellectual/Mental

  • Emotional

  • Social

It is important to fulfill these needs so we can have a more relaxed lifestyle where we fully love ourselves and have the confidence in ourselves as well. It's a very important thing we have to do since social media is having an impact on ourselves..it can be either a good impact or a bad one.

How can one practice self-care?

There numerous ways one can practice self-care, everyone has a different method for their either they created it themselves or saw it somewhere. Self-Care comes in many different ways it can simply be cooking for example because people find that it can be very relaxing for them and it even helps them release stress. Personally I practice Self-Care by taking care of my skin, body and hair I do this by having a Skincare routine everyday along with Haircare and I also do some meditation every morning so I can be one with myself. In conclusion to practice Self-Care do something which you like to do which enables you to have some alone time with yourself and your thoughts. Here are some ways you can practice Self-Care:

  • Putting on Makeup

  • Reading a book

  • Working out

  • Cooking

  • Cleaning

  • Doing your skincare routine

  • Having a shower/ a bath to relax

  • Meditation

Why is Self-Care important?

Self-Care is important because you giving yourself the attention which you need, no one can give you this type of attention because Self-Care is a sacred time where we get to be one with ourselves. Due to Social Media taking control of our lives we often forget to pay attention for ourselves without any clue we are too busy knowing what's going on around the world and our social media feed. That's why I believe everyone should atleast give some 25 minutes and if possible to an hour to themselves and see what's going on. Not only you get to know how you are feeling but also you will start to discover yourself more and grow more as a person and that is very important since society is growing every second. We not only grow as a person but we also have the time to tackle down certain problems on how you can be the best version of yourself and doing this will make your soul happy!
